Update On Cuba

Cuban prisons are dangerous, desolate places. Unless families step in to provide food and medical care, prisoners have no guarantee of regular meals or healthcare. In these settings, prison chaplain Luciano is literally the hands and feet of Christ, serving those locked away from society.

For Luciano, he serves with a spirit of humility, knowing it is only the grace of God that kept him from a similar fate. Before becoming a Christian, Luciano regularly beat his wife, causing repeated injuries to her. But when he became a Christian, God transformed Luciano into a gentle man.

Today, he and his wife work together in prison ministry. Luciano regularly meets with convicts, sharing the love of Christ and leading Bible studies and offering mentoring to those wanting to change their lives. Once released, Luciano and his wife work with ex-cons, helping them find jobs and connecting them to local churches where they can find a second chance in life.
